Bogota and Medellin, for example, have built some serious credibility and are now considered the Silicon Valley of Latin America. The progress doesn't stop there. The Colombian tech scene has been on an upward trajectory since 2010, contributing almost 3% to the nation's GDP. Colombia has 11 submarine communications cables, making it the runner-up for best telecommunications infrastructure in the Americas.
